Kumo, the new Eastern influenced style bar, is now open in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge.
With opulent interiors, bespoke cocktails by one of the world’s top drink experts, and a head and consultant chef from two of London’s most respected Japanese restaurants, Kumo is set to be a firm favourite with the world’s bar connoisseurs.
Kumo is a secret treasure hidden below Beauchamp Place with red silken walls, gold lights, a hand crafted Lotus Onyx bar and a stunning pyramid ceiling. The bar has a luxurious exclusive feel making it the perfect place for intimate tete-a-tetes and private parties.
Award winning cocktail impresario Douglas Ankrah author of the internationally acclaimed ‘Shaken & Stirred: Douglas Ankrah’s Cocktails’ (Kyle Cathie 2004) has devised a sublime Japanese influenced cocktail list for Kumo.

East – West Fusion (£10.20): Elements 8 Gold, lychee, fresh lemon juice and mild chilli sugar, shaken with fresh lime then polished off with drops of vintage port and Amaretto Di Saronno.
Zen Shinto (£10.20): Martell Cognac, apricot purée, Rhubarb Liqueur with a hint of lime juice, shaken with Choya Plum mature plum wine.
Kumo Bonsai (£9.75): Sagatiba Pura, Yuzu and fresh limes shaken with fresh passion fruit and passion fruit syrup. Crowned with Calpico.
Haki (£9.80): Lemongrass Finlandia infused vodka, passion fruit, lemon curd, cherry juice and Mandrin Napoleon. Shaken and served with homemade passion fruit foam.
Jade (£9.75): A large measure Bombay Sapphire, shaken with coriander, melon syrup, fresh lemon and pineapple juice, shaken and fine strained into a large cocktail glass.
Kumo is set to be a destination for food as well as drinks lovers. Consultant Chefs Nasa Laziri formerly of Zuma and Yuka Aoyama, formerly of Nobu have collaborated with resident chefs Masayoshi Ichikawa and Tak Srinaun to bring together a short, sweet, must-have menu focussing on a selection of the best of London’s favourite Japanese dishes.
